How to clean your Bou Shanab beard brush

Posted by

Beard brushes easily catch dirt, dead skin, and sometimes food from your facial hair. So if you want to know how to care for your beard brush like you do for your beard itself, then keep on reading.

Basics

First, you need to get rid of any buildup in the form of hair, dead skin, dirt, and dust. In order to do this, start by using a q-tip or a thin com. Second, hold the beard brush with the bristles facing downward, run your q-tip or comb through the bristle clusters, then grab the hair and pull it out with your fingers. Finally, dry clean your brush about once a week or as often as necessary.

Intensive

To remove any oily residue from your beard, beard oils, or beard balms, grip the handle of the brush and run warm water over the bristles. Use a bar soap or a basic shampoo into the bristles using an old toothbrush, then submerge the brush into warm water while using your fingers to help remove any soap residue or other buildup.

Rinse off with warm water again, shake the brush, and place it on a towel with the bristles facing down and let it dry overnight. Deep clean you brush about once every couple of weeks, or as often as necessary.

Taking good care of the tools that clean your beard is one of the ways of having a complimenting healthy life.
