3 lifestyle tips to encourage beard growth

Posted by

Beards that are well-looked after and regularly maintained not only make you look good, but feel good too. Most of you machos out there are pretty impatient when it comes to spending extra time grooming their facial hair, and you want immediate results. But let’s not kid ourselves, it’s impossible. So here are 3 lifestyle tips you can incorporate to your daily routine, and will encourage you to properly grow your beard.

Healthy Lifestyle

Healthy habits increase the rate your hair grows at. What you can do:

  • Sleep: resting helps your body grow and so does your hair. If you can’t get your 6-8 hour sleep per night, try you best to take power naps and rest your body as much as possible.
  • No smoking: quit as we speak, or don’t even begin if you’re not a smoker as it has a negative impact on your immune system and particularly the cells responsible for hair growth.

Healthy Diet

A great way to increase facial hair growth is to ensure your body is getting enough of the below:

  • Biotin, otherwise known as vitamin B7 is an essential vitamin for hair growth when ingested. Biotin can be found in nuts and raw egg yolks.
  • Vitamin B5, B3 and B9 are all vitamins which help to increase blood circulation around the body, thus increasing blood flow to the hair follicle. These vitamins can be found in several food sources: fish, beef, chicken, avocado, egg yolks, milk and whole grain foods.
  • Vitamin A is found in many vegetables such as carrots and broccoli and many leafy green vegetables and is essential for maintaining healthy hair follicles.
  • Vitamin E is another vitamin involved in the stimulating of hair follicles and maintaining a healthy immune system. This can be found in nuts, beans and leafy, green vegetables.

Healthy activity

Try to raise your heart rate for at least one hour every day, or at least 4 hours a week and be sure your testosterone levels will soar! Do you need more reasons to start taking caring of your facial hair?

Hit us up with your suggestions if you have any, and let’s share some tips and tricks that will benefit our fellow beardos.
